2007-05-23 - 12:57 p.m. today, i kind of want to resell our house without ever moving into it and then buy a house way out in the middle of nowhere where the nearest neighbours are miles away. that would be fantastic. apparently we've bought into a snobby neighbourhood full of uptight dipshits. we went to meet our neighbours over the weekend because we need to put in a fence to keep the dogs safe and in their own yard, not wreaking havoc. you'd have thought we wanted to start a skunk colony in the yard instead. so our neighbours hate us already and we haven't even moved in. all because we want to build a fence to keep our dogs off the roads and out of their gardens. oi. the neighbours on one side already have a decorative picket fence and they're more concerned about the aesthetics of it all because they don't want to take down their fence, but two fences back to back will look a bit dumb. we've compromised though and they're going to train ivy all up the whole fence on our side (he owns a nursery so it won't be hard for them) but she's still freaking out about it. then the old bitch on the other side is spazzing out because she *refused* to buy a house in a neighbourhood with fences and she's making it sound like we're ruining her life. and i think it's ridiculous. there's so much brush/trees/chicken coop along that side of the property that you can barely see into her yard anyway. stupid old bitch. sorry dumb cow, but the whole point of us buying a house in a neighbourhood with such big yards is so that the dogs have a place to play! jesus. she's old and i hope she dies soon. i hate her already. there's no bylaws against fences so screw them all. i just hate it that they're being so petty and stupid. it's just such an extra hassle and it takes away any excitement i have about moving in. plus, the people who live there now have done NOTHING to the yard (ei: trimming, weeding, mowing the lawn) since we bought the house. SO NOT IMPRESSED! and we found out from the neighbours that there is a possum and a ground hog family living in our yard. plus lots of stinging nettle growing everywhere. we're going to have to do SO much work before we move in. i just want to kick people. at least my mom is going to come help us clean things up. she's coming in early july for 10 days. i think we're going to need all the help we can get.
