well, i figured i'd try updating here to see if the post goes up smoothly. things have still been slow on this site for me. i've been reading everyone's updates, but haven't had the patience to post here. all my posts have been on livejournal. go back one entry to get there.

well, it seems like the writing bug has bitten me again. i've been having extremely vivid and odd dreams lately.... always good fuel for writing. i've had ideas out the yin-yang.

i had hoped this flood of creativity would hold back at least until i got halfway through the booklist i have. at this rate i'm really going to have to put down the books and pick up my pens again soon.

it's getting almost distracting. i'm going to have to start jotting ideas down if nothing else. luckily, i have many tiny notebooks i can carry around with me to jot notes in (even at work).

i've been getting a few ideas for for new pieces, for continuing dark vengeance, and some ideas for things to add here and there to give some more depth to the binded. but two halves of my brain are arguing over making the binded any longer than it already is.

on the one hand, i want to be true to the story and make it the best it can be. on the other hand, a lot of publishers have word limits. usually a range of 80k-120k words. my first two books are within that range (though they could exceed 120k if i add too much more depth) and the final book is well over the limit.

i'm sure that in the end i will stay true to the story. because even if i'm never able to get "real" publishers to consider my book, i will self-publish so that the friends/family fans that i have already will have a hard copy for their shelves.

i wish i could read faster. i know i'm not going to be able to hold the writing off much longer. maybe through a couple more books. i'm almost done insomnia by stephen king (513/663) but once i'm finished that, i've still got 26 unread books on my shelf. oi.
