2007-04-30 - 9:32 p.m.

well, yesterday was a bright sunny day. nice and warm. i headed out for some retail therapy - bought a pair of shoes and a casual dress to wear on my bday. i also drove very very fast down the highway with the windows down and angry soad blaring. it was quite therapeutic.

then i went to a spice taste-testing party. one of the ladies from the senior's centre put it on. there was a bunch of older ladies and me. it was a bit strange, but there was so much yummy food that i barely noticed. there was all kinds of chip, vegetable and fruit dip to try! and this warm, gooey cheesy thing that was heaven. *yum*

then we went to see "next". it was actually much better than i thought it would be. i really liked the ending, it was rather atypical, and endings are usually my biggest complaint about movies.

so i spent a fair bit of money yesterday, but not too bad. i also bought some potting soil to get my seeds started indoors. i planted the pumpkins and will plant the morning glories when i get home tonite. i've got quite a bit of greenery growing outside in the gardens. and amazingly not many weeds!

i've been getting a lot of gifts in the mail too. some cards and presents have started coming in. i got a day at a spa, some money, some floral scented body lotions, a tolkien hardcover. plus mike has bought and wrapped my gift and it's sitting in the middle of the living room table.

gifts and cards are nice, don't get me wrong, they're just a poor substitute for the company of loved ones.

while drawing peter pan, peet got into an argument with the boss, walt disney, and lost. for revenge, the artist drew the evil captain hook in disney's likeness.
