last night's entry that i was unable to post because diaryland was *again* being an ass:

we just bought a house! i'm a little freaked out by how quickly it happened.

it was just this afternoon that we first saw the listing and mike's sister called us to see if we wanted to see it and it was in the right area and had a big yard, so she set up an appointment.

we saw it at 4:30 and she presented the offer at 9pm. it was accepted by 9:30. conditional on home inspection, of course.

and then we have to build a fence before we move in. and paint. and we'll eventually want to build a deck.

anyway, as long as the home inspector doesn't give us any really bad news, the offer will be firm and binding by the weekend.

*faints*

it hasn't all quite sunk in yet, but i'm sure i'll be running around flailing before long. this is so crazy!!!

oh, and it's got a chicken coup! how ridiculous is that?? it's going to be the guest house... ;) seriously. the place was built in 1938. so it's got an abandoned chicken coup in the back yard. ahahaha!!!
