2007-03-29 - 8:36 p.m. well, i'm slowly easing myself out of my writing addiction. i've been working away at getting the last book in the trilogy typed up - it's over 116,000 words long now (i figure it will be around 125,000 when i'm completely done, i'll keep you posted). i've also finally started reading again. i'm just reading short stories for the moment because i have a fantasy anthology that i'd like to finish. but i'm thinking that next i might read the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series, or possibly one of the stephen king's i've got. it's nice to sit in my comfy chair and read without feeling guilty. i wonder how long it will take me to get through all 20 books i currently have...? i know there are a few more books i will potentially buy. they're all in series and trilogies and i've got the first book(s). if i like the first book(s) then i'll buy the rest. like the odd thomas trilogy. i've got the first book. if i like it i'll buy the other 2. plus, i've got the first 5 books in the sword of truth series. if i'm enjoying the series (i did like the prequel), i'll probably buy the rest of it. i'm also thinking of buying joe hill's book "heart shaped box" (and not because the title is a nirvana song and not because he's stephen king's son!). i read the description of it and it looked neat. i'd like to get my hands on it just to read the dust jacket or something for a bit more info. of course, anymore book spending sprees will depend entirely on whether or not i get much money or chapter's gift cards for my bday or xmas. i imagine it will probably be closer to xmas by the time i've made much progress on all this reading i plan on doing. i guess we'll see though. i'll probably start writing again before long too. no matter how hard i try not to, i have to be pretty busy with other stuff (like being a student) to not write. in other news, crash is now 36lbs. well, he was yesterday. he's probably 37 now. little bastard is getting so damn big! he's sleeping a lot the last couple of days and i'm pretty sure he's getting ready to grow. there was one morning where he grew noticeably overnight! seriously, it's kind of like watching my giant pumpkins grow! tee hee. he's such a little monster. but at least he's starting to behave himself a bit more. he doesn't bark to wake us up at the ass crack of dawn anymore. he doesn't pee where he shouldn't too often. and he's generally more affectionate toward us now. he's learned to appreciate the value of a good belly rub and doesn't try to use us for chew toys anymore. daily dose of stupid:
