2007-03-05 - 10:28 p.m.

today is mike's birthday! *yay* we did most of the celebrating on the weekend, though i did tell him he could have birthday cake for breakfast today if he wanted.

it's also our 3 year anniversary. somehow it seems like it's been a lot longer than that. like maybe 5 years.

i bought him an led flashlight, plus all his birthday presents: chocolates, super-fancy windshield wipers, and a lazer level. he got me flowers, chocolates and a jade plant. weee!

i hope i don't kill the jade plant. the little tag says it's easy to take care of so we'll see. so far i haven't killed the orchids, so i must be doing something right.

the flowers he got me had 3 white roses in them too. he's never bought me roses before, even though they're one of my favourites. he buys me lillies a lot though and i love those! but i got 3 roses for 3 years. hehe.

otherwise today wasn't terribly spectacular. i finished typing chapter 8 of the binded 3 today though. it's over 88,000 words now with 3 longish chapters to go! *falls over*

i've also decided that i'm not going back to my computer course. it's just too difficult to fit going in around my work schedule. i can always go back any time and take the tests. i just don't want to bother right now.

i barely use excel at work, and i at least completed the course. so i know the material even if i don't have the little diploma thing. i can still demonstrate that i know how to use it, which is good enough for now.

i just don't want to have to worry about it anymore. but i might go back later who knows. anyway, for now i've got a job and i only wanted the course to help get a job, so there's really no point in continuing with it right now.
