2007-02-17 - 3:45 p.m.

i'm so tired! things have been crazy busy this week. i started work on thursday and have still managed to keep making it to the gym and volunteer.

plus, i'm not completely over my cold from last week, so i'm still out of energy. crash doesn't always let us sleep through the night either. he likes to cry very early in the morning.

tonite, i'm putting in my earplugs and mike can deal with crash if he cries. i'm just too tired and i'm never going to shake this cold if i don't get a good night's sleep soon.

anyway, work is really good. it's pretty straight forward. i have to take care of typing all the offers for the agents, but the company has software for that so the templates for all the different forms are pretty easy to use. i just fill in the blanks with whatever the agents tell me to.

the rest of the time i answer the phone. pretty simple. plus, everything is insanely organized. seriously, i swear that whoever set up the office was obsessive-compulsive. everything is labelled and arranged by alphabetical order.

it makes it so insanely easy to find everything. it's great! the people are pretty crazy too. so i think i'm really going to like it there. it gets slow sometimes, so i can play on the internet. plus, i can listen to music.

i've already gone through all my soad songs and made note of the ones that aren't full of swearing so i can bring it all in. weeeee!

i work about 25 hours a week. there's another girl who's also a part time receptionist and we just split the hours through the week. so it's really flexible and i'm still able to volunteer at the senior's centre. it's infinitely better than working at damn pennington's!

i get weekends off!!!! *dances*

haha, i was in at pennington's yesterday. i had gone to the mall to buy mike his vday present (we're doing vday today and he's currently out buying me my gift) and pennington's is near the mall. so i figured i'd stop in there and see if i could find a couple of nice coloured tops i could wear to work under my blazers (since almost everything i have is black or dark colours).

while i was shopping, one of the ladies there who really likes me was trying to convince me to come back to pennington's. no deal! between work, chores and volunteering, i already put in around 30-35 hours a week. no way am i adding another 3 shifts onto that!

anyway, i found a couple of bright tank tops i could wear under my blazers and was reading to go. they were having their scratch and save sale, so i picked out a scratch card expecting the typical 10% off. and holy shit i won 50% off!!!!

i almost fell over. so i ended up buying a lot more stuff! and in the end, i saved $175 and spent $150! tee hee! so excited about that! i got a bunch of tops for work and play and a really comfy pair of green cargo pants for the summer, plus some underwear.

anyway, i've got a few more chores left to do today before we go out for our post-valentine's day dinner at a nice italian place. *yay* and since i'm employed again, i just might spoil mike and buy dinner. ;)

when his ship was rammed by another ship and started to sink, ishmaelo jumped overboard. swimming for his life, he refused to take off the gold belt, and the weight pulled him under.

update: mike just got back and he got me a box of chocolates, a little bag of lindor's and some caramel chocolates, plus a bouquet of flowers! *yay*
