well, i must say i was much more productive today. i studied for excel! go me! i still don't get a lot of it. it's hard when i never use excel. i just don't get what i'd have to use half that crap for.

excel makes my eyes bleed.

anyway, i did some studying, and i'll probably do some tomorrow and then go in for the pretest on thursday. i get to redo the pretests as many times as it takes to get a good mark. then they'll let me do the exam.

the pretests are good practice because they've actually got practical examples in them. i think it'll be a big help with excel. because no matter how many times i read about it, i still have no idea what the hell a nested if is for!

*falls over*

anyway, i've also done a lot of writing. heh. well, mostly i've been typing what i've written. i've got nearly 68,000 words typed of the binded 3. so excited! i finished typing chapter 6 last night.

i can't believe how long this is getting! so crazy!!

oh, and i actually read today! i took a break from studying and read a short story about senator bilbo, this racist politician i've never heard of before. the premise was basically, what if this guy had been a descendant of bilbo baggins and lived in the shire.

it was pretty funny. i enjoyed it. i might read a couple more short stories from that anthology too. they're easier to put down than novels. oi. but i've really got to get back to reading. sooo many books on my shelf that are still unread. plus, i may want to buy a few more.

oh, and does anyone know what the name is for those round hats old guys wear sometimes? like the hat the guy in "clockwork orange" wears. i want to call it a bowler hat. is that right?
